19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev won his initial trophy for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging period, achieving just one win at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in specific - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden title following the Italian tournament and first on a hard court after that period of the previous year.
Success also means he has secured 21 titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
His counter-punching approach and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his capacity to play at the top level was over.
But the player has made changes in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and perform assertively, backed up by an better service.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging opponent, winning four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded break points in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden tour victory, seized the initiative to create a decider.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before the Russian broke to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the win with a shot at the net, with his opponent failing to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
